Fall at LSS is absolutely flying by. It's hard to believe the leaves have changed, the weather is getting colder, and we STILL haven't had our launch party!!! That, however, is about to change...save the date for November 17,2011. Long Story Short..Jessica Stuart Media Inc is finally having a throw down! More to come on that later!
Production Assistant Cristina is already family here. Although she just started in September, she is already running the place! Not to mention, she won a student Emmy for her documentary, "Stateless in the Dominican Republic"! She is a rockstar!
Fall is definitely "back to school" for us as well. We delivered a video for the Harlem Education Activities Fund, began our production for the Lab School of Washington, and went to Austin to shoot for The Gates Foundation Education Team. Kimi and the West Coast team just wrapped at Arizona State University for The Gates Foundation as well! We also helped the One Campaign launch the 6th season of the One Campus Challenge by producing the launch video!.
Jessica attended the "Wakeup Call For Women and Newborns of the World", hosted by Arianna Huffington, Donna Karan, and Sarah Brown.
We continued post production from our Shoots in Brazil, Burundi, and India- all to be debuted very soon with the launch of The Global Network's End7 Campaign.
Most recently, Jessica traveled to Tanzania and Mozambique to capture stories for the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric Aids Foundation. Videos will launch toward the end of the year and beginning of 2012.
We are currently getting ready for a big week in November for Mars Candy, and gearing up for an amazing event in Los Angeles for the David Lynch Foundation.
Melissa Schmitt continues to do amazing producing work for us, and we say hello to our new freelance editor, Mat Taylor. Jen Duck is representing the West Coast along with Kimi and we are so thrilled to have her working with us!
This Fall, we said goodbye to our Brazilian intern, Bruna, and hello to our new intern Rebecca Einstein. We managed to paint a chalkboard wall (kick -ass, I might add), add a Bonzai plant and Halloween Decorations around the office. We are working our butts off, but find time to laugh and have a good time as well. Aaron still schools us on rap beats before he heads off to become a daddy any day now. And Richard still arrives on time... if we were living in a time zone somewhere around the Galapagos Islands.
Keep your eyes out for many "deliverables" in the coming weeks and definitely stay tuned for our long awaited PARTY announcement!
