**BREAKING NEWS**
Long Story Short Media has been nominated for a BEST EDITING Webby Award!
The 16th Annual Webby Awards received nearly 10,000 entries from all 50 US states and over 60 countries worldwide. Our video, "AIDS at 30," is one of five nominees in the category.
Now our work and our team are eligible for two of the industry's most sought-after awards: The Webby Award and The Webby People's Voice Award.
Our partners at the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation also received a nomination today in the PUBLIC SERVICE & ACTIVISM category for the video we co-produced under the title "Countdown to an AIDS Free Generation." Many congratulations to all!
Don't forget to vote! Polls are open later today: http://pv.webbyawards.com/.
One of the unique elements of this award is the famous 5-word Acceptance Speech. Past Webby Award Winners - and their speeches - include Al Gore ("Please don't recount this vote."), Vogue Editor-in-Chief Anna Wintour ("Sometimes, geeks can be chic."), Stephen Colbert ("Me. Me. Me. Me. Me.") and Amy Poehler ("Me, you, PS22 dance party.").
Webby Award and Webby People's Voice Award Winners will be announced on May 1, 2012. Winners will be honored at the 16th Annual Webby Awards hosted by Patton Oswalt at the Hammerstein Ballroom in NYC on May 21, 2012.

WE ARE WINNING (MORE) AWARDS

Long Story Short Media… Jessica Stuart Media, Inc. is now in need of a bigger trophy case.
The Telly Awards named Long Story Short Media a Silver and a Bronze winner in the 33rd Annual Telly Awards for their pieces titled “Countdown to an AIDS-Free Generation” and “The National Cherry Blossom Festival Promo”. With nearly 11,000 entries from all 50 states and numerous countries, this is truly an honor.
Winning the highest honor, a Silver Telly, “Countdown to an AIDS-Free Generation” was created with the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation. In commemoration of World AIDS Day 2011 and for the Harvard AIDS@30 Symposium, the video revisits the thirty years of the AIDS pandemic, spotlighting the momentum toward the elimination of new pediatric HIV infections. “Countdown to an AIDS-Free Generation” was produced by Jessica Stuart and Melissa Schmitt, and edited by Mat Taylor. According to the Telly website, less than 10 percent of entries are awarded the highest honor.
This may be true, but LSS and EGPAF are a proven award-winning pairing—this year’s award is a repeated honor for the duo. Last year, the LSS team picked up a 2011 Silver Telly for the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation Identity Video.
“The Telly Awards has a mission to honor the very best in film and video,” said Linda Day, Executive Director of the Telly Awards. “Long Story Short’s accomplishment illustrates their creativity, skill, and dedication to their craft and serves as a testament to great film and video production.”
Their second award, a Bronze Telly, was conferred to the team for their National Cherry Blossom Festival Centennial Promotional video. This project was shot by James Curry and Adam Hamer and produced by Jessica Stuart, with great help from Liam Gray, and edited by Mat Taylor.
Footage from this project has recently repurposed in many ways—most recently for use in a nationally broadcast PBS documentary and on the giant Toshiba Screen in the middle of Times Square in New York City for the Embassy of Japan and the 2012 National Cherry Blossom Festival.
“Not even the best arborists can perfectly predict when the blossoms will peak—or if they will peak during a day with good light to film them, or if they will peak during a freak ice storm,” remembers Liam Gray, assistant producer. “Of course, everything turned out just right. We were blessed with wonderful peak days and captured tons of amazingly beautiful shots.”

Wait.. It's almost March?
We are off to a flying start in 2012. I originally thought we'd start out the year slowly- well.... WRONG! So far, in less than 8 weeks, we've traveled to los Angeles, San Francisco, Iowa, Arizona, New Orleans, Pittsburgh, Tampa , New York, and North Carolina. We have been doing some wonderful work for The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, for The David Lynch Foundation, For Haddad Media, Radical Media, and others.
If you happen to be in New York in the next 6 weeks, look for our work in Times Square on the Toshiba big screen! It's Cherry Blossom time, and we've done a short promo for the Embassy of Japan and the National Cherry Blossom Festival. Also, watch WETA on March 11 to see a documentary on the Cherry Blossom Centennial with footage we produced for The National Cherry Blossom Festival ln 2011. Happy Spring! It's just around the corner.
We have lots more to share in the coming weeks. Keep an eye out!
Project HEART Video Debut
Our partners at the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation have led Project HEART (Help Expand Antiretroviral Therapy to children and families) on an eight-year initiative alongside the support of the President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) and the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
During this time, more than 1 million men, women, and children received HIV care and support. And in 2010, 1 out of 10 PEPFAR-supported antiretroviral treatment patients in sub-Saharan Africa received their treatment through Project HEART.
More than 2.5 million pregnant women received HIV counseling and testing, and more than 66,500 pediatric HIV infections were prevented.
Long Story Short Media and the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation debuted this latest video today in celebration of the achievements of Project HEART.
